KJB Stamp Sales POSTAL AUCTION CATALOGUE NUMBER 123 contains 28 A4 pages containing in excess of 2300 well described and profusely illustrated Lots in full colour.

Auction 123 has a limited array of collections and remainder lots on this occasion. The emphasis is on Australian King George V sidefaces with several excellent lots, particularly lot 1, (including two 4d lime-yellow shades) which will make the KGV enthusiasts and resellers mouth water.

The Australian Kangaroos section has a useful array of medium value lots to 5/- including several ACSC listed varieties.

The Australian King George V section includes a most useful array of over 200 Lots including an excellent range of ACSC listed specialised material with estimates ranging from $2 to $750. The standout items are lots 57 to 59 being four fine used to superb used 4d lime-yellow shades, each without a trace of red or orange present. The scanned pictures in the catalogue present far more detail than is visible to the naked eye in white light, where the design is almost impossible to discern. The other standout is lot 116, a VFU and very well centred 1d carmine-pink Die II Perf OS.

The Australian Pre-decimal section contains a very useful array of ACSC listed specialised material with many middle and upper range highlights including a rare 1927 1½d Parliament House corner block with part Plate 3 and a rare 1938 1d Green QM Die II coil perf block of 4 with John Ash Imprint.

The Decimal section also includes a particularly useful range of ACSC listed specialised material including a listed 1975 45¢ Wildflower strip with yellow-green omitted, a small group of ACSC listed publicity cards and an unlisted 1978 National Stamp Week block with a partial Offset.

The Australian colonies section contains some useful Queensland material including an 1860 2d Blue imperf SG 2 and an 1882 10/- black unoverprinted Specimen. The Victorian section has very useful material with a standout unused 1858 4d emblems rouletted on all 4 sides (SG 63). The WA section has a VFU 1854 1d Black and a mint 1861 clean-cut Perf 14-16 6d purple-brown.

The British Commonwealth & World section has a wide range of British Commonwealth material in the range $2 to $500 with a particularly useful range of SG listed varieties.
